FreeConnect.co.za is a service offered by South African based Lehmann Brothers cc, that allows anyone
in South Africa to be able to access the internet Free.
The Dialup infrastructure used by FreeConnect.co.za is maintained by another Lehmann Brothers Company called TsunamiNET that specialize in Network Management, VPN's, VOIP and Dedicated Server hosting
By Free we mean, no contracts, no monthly fees, no subscription charges, no hidden costs. You JUST pay for your call. You are billed
standard VAS rates by your phone company. Free Minutes do not apply. Call costs vary from operator to operator, but it is
on average about R1.00 per minute, but to be sure please contact your network operator for the exact charges you will be billed.
So basically all you need to connect to the internet is a phone line, (or ISDN Line) a Modem (or ISDN T/A) and the login details on the home page. Create a new connection, Enter the phone number, username and password, click connect and you are online. As simple as that.
Lehmann Brothers cc is a Member of the South African Internet Service Providers Association, and adopted it's code of conduct, so please feel free to click on the ISPA logo on the left. We also abide by the WASPA code of conduct.
One last thing.... Please remember to unplug your modem or telephone cable when not in use, as we can unfortunately not take any responsibility if your Computer called us (i.e. when a program requests internet access) or for any other reason. We do recommend that you do not save the password, so that no software can automatically connect without you knowing and incur call charges for your account.
